Overview

** Please Note: This is a Hitachi Vantara course. Merit Career Development is an authorized training provider for Hitachi Vantara. ** This course assists customers currently on Hitachi Command Suite in transitioning basic administration and provisioning tasks to Hitachi Ops Center Administrator. These tasks include storage setup and configuration (onboarding and discovering storage) creating parity groups, pools, volumes and LUNs (provisioning volumes to the host), and managing and creating Volume Migration. The course also explains how to manage and monitor storage from the Hitachi Ops Center Administration Dashboard.

Additionally, hands-on lab activities enable you to gain practical experience about administering and provisioning using Hitachi Ops Center Administrator.

At the successful completion of this course, you will receive the Hitachi Ops Center Administration Management digital badge.

  • Explain how to create parity groups, pools, and volumes
  • Describe the workflows for onboarding, configuring, creating and attaching volume

  • Explain how to discover storage systems, servers and fabric switches

  • Explain the Virtua Storage Machine (VSM) concept and its application in Hitachi storage systems
