Overview

** Please Note: This is a Hitachi Vantara course. Merit Career Development is an authorized training provider for Hitachi Vantara. ** This course provides training on how to use Hitachi Ops Center Protector and VM2020 CyberVR for fast ransomware recovery. You will learn how to quickly recover an entire application stack, including data, computer, network and application.

This course examines the components and capabilities of CyberVR and how to use CyberVR to create Thin Digital Twins that support a variety of use cases such as: penetration testing (or pentest), security control validation, forensics, and ransomware recovery testing.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to practice with hands-on lab activities designed to build the skills necessary to user CyberVR as the key orchestration layer for these products.

  • Describe Hitachi Ops Center Protector capabilities and how they relate to the features and functions of Hitachi replication products.
  • Perform in-system snapshot replication operations through Protector, including Policies and Data Flows.
  • Describe CyberVR capabilities and how they relate to Hitachi Cyber Protection features and functionalities.
  • Describe the functions and features offered by the integration with virtualized infrastructure.
  • Perform and describe the creation of Thin Digital Twins for application and full data center.
  • Describe security use cases based on threat detection, continuous pentesting, and contained recovery.
  • Describe DevOps use cases based on remediations, end-user acceptance, and testing new applications.
  • Describe real-world ransomware challenges and recovery examples with RTA considerations.
  • Describe concepts such as data immutability, capacity-efficient, instant restores, and zero risk of data integrity.
