Overview

** Please Note: This is a Hitachi Vantara course. Merit Career Development is an authorized training provider for Hitachi Vantara. ** This intermediate course is intended for system administrators who manage or support object storage systems and developers of cloud applications. This course covers functionality, concepts, architecture, and processes of Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) for cloud scale.

HCP for Cloud Scale is a new software which defines an object storage solution, S3 compatible storage component, that employs a distributed micro service architecture. It can span hundreds of nodes and deliver linear performance when scaling.

Besides learning about the theory of this software, you will practice lab activities designed to build the skills needed to configure and manage the key features of HCP for cloud scale. Lab activities also provide the opportunity to learn practically how applications can make use of these functionalities through S3 compatible storage component.

  • Enable Data at Rest Encryption and Key Management Server Vault sealing
  • Show how to compact and download logs
  • Explain tracing (Jaeger) and creating graphs on metrics (Prometheus)
