Overview

** Please Note: This is a Hitachi Vantara course. Merit Career Development is an authorized training provider for Hitachi Vantara. ** This course describes the architecture of Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) models such as VSP5000 series, VSP G1000, VSP F1500, VSP G1500, VSP E series, and the mid-range models. The course also covers unified storage with embedded NAS modules supported by the mid-range models ranging from VSP G400 to VSP G800.

Lab activities include identifying components, mapping storage volumes and connecting to the storage management tools such as Hitachi Ops Center Administrator.

At the successful completion of this course, you will receive the Hitachi Storage Systems Architecture digital badge.

Learning Objectives

When you complete this course, you should be able to:
  • List the models included in Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) family and Hitachi NAS Platform family
  • Identify the features and specifications of VSP models, including VSP 5000 series and E series
  • Describe Hitachi Ops Center and its management tools
  • Describe Hitachi Remote Ops monitoring system
  • Explain the storage virtualization concept for Hitachi storage and external storage including global-active device and nondisruptive migration functionality
