Pennie Simmons, MLD, PHR, SHRM-CP

Pennie Simmons Pennie is a management and leadership professional with 20 years of Human Resources experience in both profit and non-profit industries with expertise in the areas of Compensation and Performance Appraisal, Employee Relations, Recruiting, Training, and University Relations. Pennie possesses the empathy to build trust in working with others at all levels in organizations from the board room to the mail room and has successfully enacted change in multiple resistant organizations.  She was selected on several occasions to head company-wide task forces, and has been a member of Employer Advisory Boards at two university's in the greater Philadelphia area.

Pennie uses her experience meeting and interviewing over 10,000 candidates to consult and influence all levels of supervisors to executives in managing employees, effectively coaching individuals, and speaks to groups motivating them in how to effectively present themselves professionally.  Her strong EQ makes her able to effectively discuss areas of concern and opportunity as she coaches individuals and managers to build upon weaknesses that need to be changed and make progress going forward. She uses friendliness and humor as she helps and excites others about who they are, what they do, and where they work!

Pennie has been certified as a Professional in Human Resources since 2007. She graduated with a Masters in Leadership Development (MLD) at The Pennsylvania State University - Great Valley Campus in May, 2015 and holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Pennie is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, but has lived in West Chester, Pennsylvania since 1997.
