Susan Morris has over 30 years experience as a business coach, organizational consultant and instructional designer specializing in the professional development needs of pharmaceutical R&D scientists, technical experts and functions who partner with R&D. Susan believes that scientists are brilliant scientifically but may not have the same level of brilliance when managing and leading others. Identifying the gap between scientific expertise and "people" expertise is the arena for Susan's consulting and coaching.
In her role as consultant to pharmaceutical global, cross-functional discovery and development project teams, Susan worked with teams in the UK, France and Germany. These team engagements included building new teams, assessing performance of experienced teams, and identifying challenges and solutions for "stuck" teams. Susan focused her coaching on strengthening the performance of new team leaders, using videotape as a feedback tool for coaching new team leaders as well as customized 3600 assessments.
Susan has designed and delivered interactive training solutions that focus on communication, managing and leading. Following the principles of adult learning where adults learn best when they are actively involved in their own learning, Susan's classroom workshops, webinars and blended learning options are enhanced with case studies, simulations, training games, and multiple practice sessions so that participants get theory and practice on their new performance skills.
